Sometimes I wonder if some people suffering from anorexia are subtly but unconsciously connecting with other people (or maybe even souls that were) obese or just even plump. So no matter how thin their physical bodies become, they truly feel and believe they are fat. I know that some days I can feel ”thin” and other days ”fat.” But my physical body does not change that much. So what’s going on? I think a simple psychological answer is probably not enough. We have to look at the possibility of what some call ”transpersonal” connections. And this applies to just about any experiential unwellness, I would say.
And yes, the pressure to be ”thin” and ”fit” is huge. Swedes are especially big on fitness, no? Or is this just a stereotype??

I used to have anorexia. The starvation makes you believe that your body is a lot bigger than it actually is.

It must be a very difficult situation. I always think of the 70s singer Karen Carpenter. She had one of the best female voices of all time. But the anorexia lead to her early death. Truly terrible. She was great. Full of emotion and control.
