This is interesting! In Dutch this is called: ‘schroef’. So the sound ‘skru’is alike. In Flemisch Dutch the thing is called ‘vijs’. The sound is not the same as ‘vis’, but etymological I think there is a connection. So a Skruvis would then mean: Schroefvijs. Both words captured in one. :-)
