As a disabled father, I have Cerebral Palsy…my wife has multiple sclerosis..MS.We both work in education with students with disabilities including autism. We have two grown daughters. I applaud your willingness to discuss these issues.

I read the article. Being not a woman I do not know how menstruation feels or is. I do know women during menstuation tend to be a bit more sensative. It seems from the article that women with autism perhaps experience somewhat more sensativity. I think it should be part of (sexual) upbringing that girls and women, and also boys and men, know about menstruation and are able to freely talk about it and to not perceive it as a taboo. I admire your openess, Yolanda, good that you contributed to the article!
